Unix Programming (811390A, 4 cr.)

The purpose of the course is to provide basic knowledge about programming in the Unix environment. The focus in on tools, operating system services, and graphical user interfaces. In addition, there is possibility to concentrate on Maemo software development, meaning that assignment is targeted to Nokia 770 mobile device.

For non-Finnish speaking students

The course is not in the list of courses that are supported in Englis$ Unfortunately we do not have enough resources to provide all required assignment material in English this year. There is no need to participate in lectures or assignments, but you should deliver a portfolio containing solutions to all course exercises. The exercise descriptions will be available only in Finnish, so it is most likely that without knowledge of Finnish you are not able to pass the course.
