3D User Interfaces 2 ov
User Interfaces have been studied since the beginning
of information age. They are present everywhere in our
day life, from the remote control of our TV-set to the
complicated UI of the Satellite Controller Desk. This
course is looking at a more special User Interfaces,
those used in 3D environments. How to make good interfaces,
what are the key elements when designing them and how
to improve the user interaction when using the 3D UI
are the key aspects of the course. The techniques presented
are: control, feed-back, visualisation, navigation,
manipulation and access.
Activities: Lecture (30 h), exercise
(10 h), project, own work, exam.
