Knowledge Management
The benefits of inspection are accepted and it is recognized generally
recognized as the most effective means of finding defects. There has been
observed also an additional interesting aspect to inspection. In
particular, inspection provides an effective way for acquisition and reuse
of gained by experience (experience knowledge). This follows from the
essential characteristics of inspection; i.e. being an activity linked to
each development step recording experiences throughout the development
process and recording discussions and participants' opinions in informal
form. The knowledge management has been linked to the inspection process
and inspections in many ways. It has been used when acquisition and reuse
inspection data, when transferring experiences from experienced personnel
to inexperienced personnel and even when improving inspection process.
